I ordered my Mistking! Holla.

I'm going out of town towards the end of July. I've been trying to save money for MYSELF, but figured I should get the Mistking so I don't worry as much when I'm gone. The logic of Chameleon keepers.. aye?

I have a Monsoon that's been sitting next to the animal cages (on the floor) for months. It wouldn't have been worth the effort of setting that piece of crap up. I should probably find someone who wants to buy that thing. It's a brand new one sent straight from Hagen. I never used it because I would tell myself (every month) to buy the Mistking. Which continuously got put on the back burner for the higher priority Cham stuff. I thought I would have had it done by now. But there's always something else. By the time you get the little things, you don't have money for the bigger ones. There is no such thing as "going to plan" with these beautiful reptiles.

I'm already stressed about setting it up, but I'm sure you lovely people will help if I have any roadblocks. I just ended up getting the starter kit with the corner mount. If I need more, I'll order it. Mistking has FREE SHIPPING going on right now. It ends today. I'm not sure what the cut off time is. That really enticed me to just get it done. So if you have been putting it off, do it now! Lol.

Well I think I'm going to sell it for $90. It's brand new and I think I paid like $120 for it with tax. I also have the remote which was about $12-16 extra. If you for real want it, I can bring it to Chicago with me. You could meet me at the hotel or something. Lol. It will probably suck trying to pack that box for a train trip, but I can manage.

Mistking is all setup!

I knew it would be challenging for me (perfectionist), and it was. I started working on it last night, and finished up with the timer this morning. I had a leak, which was caused by the tubing not being pushed in all the way. But it's all done and I love it!

I bought the screen wedge with it, but I'm going to use it on his adult cage. So right now I have it setup ghetto style. It's secured with fishing line. The spray doesn't go as far as I'd like, but that's partly because of the position it's in. I've been hand spraying his cage this entire time. It's 16x16x30 and the UVB/heat fixtures take up the entire top of the cage. I was able to squeeze the nozzle in the corner and reposition the heat lamp so it doesn't get wet.

I can just tell I will love my Mistking 10 times more once I set it up properly on Loki's adult cage. I'm going out of town in 2 weeks, and I'm hoping this will keep the humidity right and stimulate him to drink. One less thing for the "Cham-sitter" to worry about.

I've had the hardest time with his temps. I had to move the heat lamp and up the wattage to 60 watts. I'm seeing how it goes. He's very picky about the way the light hits and the temp range. I've moved the lamp, and changed the wattages a MILLION times. It's either too much, or too little. And I've got to get it right before vacation. So I'm experimenting.

But I'm so glad I finally got my Mistking. I put it off for way too long. No more big purchases for a while! Yay!!!
