My local pets mart will not keep chams because their corporate will not allow them to set them up properly...today i noticed a baby ferret that has a disease that is a reverse diabetic disorder and when i went to point it out to the manager she told me that they know and that he is on meds...yay for a chain that actually cares!!!!!

It's good to know they don't stock them because they can't properly take care of them. It's unfortunate that the stores that don't care outweigh the stores that do.

yah i actually used to work for petsmart and they do an ok job but it really varies from location to location. i was a cashier but filled in for the petcare employees from time to time, and the care put into the animals kinda seemed to depend on how much the animal was worth to them. At our location the reptile enclosure had holes in between the cages and the rock decor built up around the cages and the animals ofter got trapped in between the 2, and would stay there till they starved and died. the thought of it happening killed me, we requested for it to be fixed several times and it never was. compared to petco i think they are still a little bit better, glad to hear there is still some effort being put in.
