xantho horn darkening?

The tip of his largest horn has been crooked since I bought him, but it looks as if it started growing in at the wrong angle, and then the horn started growing in correctly. The tip has always been more translucent, but now it seems as if its darkening under that extra horn tip, and the dark color is spreading back towards the base of the horn. I have seen Jackson's with dark horns...is this what's occurring as he is aging? He is now roughly 9 months old. Does anyone know anything, or am I being paranoid? Unfortunately, I don't have a working camera right now, and the blackberry camera is horrible.Sorry

P.S. He acts completely normally, and does not appear ill in anyway.

Thank you

See if you can get a photo of him outside the screen, just to make it easier.
My jackson's horns are dark at the tips (you can see photos of him in one of my albums) so I think that's normal, but without a clearer photo we are going to have a hard time deciding if your guy is having a problem or not.

Alright, I will try. The darkening doesn't look to be into brown though, but more black. That's where my concern comes from..

Here I got one while he was basking...

It looks as if the dark spot is just on that bump, which is weird. Hmm... I'm not exactly sure what to think, I can't tell if it's something vet-worthy or normal. Hopefully someone else can comment.

If you're worried though, and your gut is telling you it's something funky, it's always better to go to the vet than regret it later :/ But again, it could be absolutey nothing, I have no idea.
