Worried....

OK guys.
Panther, age 2 1/2
super tame, friendly, healthy & active.

Mostly free ranges every day.
Gets variety of feeders, supplements, etc.
Has proper lighting, water, fully hydrated etc.

Currently eating & drinking normally.

About a week ago, I noticed he didn't want to "come out to play".
Also hangs a back leg off his main basking spot, which is a very wide branch.

He seems a little lethargic and slower than usual.

Jann told me to bring him to a vet but it's been tough finding an opening with anyone. (All the exotic vets are at least 45-60 min away)

Hoping to get in tomorrow.

Can anyone think of what could be wrong with him? Could this be a parasite?

Should also mention I put him in an outdoor cage to soak up real sun today. He dropped the biggest fecal I've ever seen. Could it be he was bound up?

Update:. Today Pixel is gripping his branch and ate like he'd been starving. He even ate 4 meal worms, which he wouldn't touch for a long time.

I took him outside again today.

Glad to hear he just needed to duke it out. I was gonna suggest he saw you with another chameleon and was mad at you. A little sunshine can do wonders.

That’s good news! I still recommend a vet visit.

Also, mealworms are not good feeders for chameleons. Try superworms instead.
Yes @jannb , I usually don't feed them but he won't eat supers cause they bite.

Can't wait to show his new condo when it's finished. Your husband really inspired us!
