Worried. Please Help.

My veiled chameleon is acting strange. He is dull green and puffs up whenever I try and hold him. Which is not normal at all for his behavior. He is about 4 months old. I feed him and mist him as needed. And he has a screen terrarium. He has heat also. I'm doing everything right. What could be wrong? Should i take him in to the vet?

Perhaps he just doesn't want to be held. Is he sleeping during the day/refusing food/ sunken eyes? Those are some of the main indicators. Chams do much better without hands on interaction.
