Worried about new cham

So I got my veiled chameleon earlier today from the Baltimore Repticon, and he was healthy and brightly colored. We asked about some dead skin, and they said that he would be shredding soon. We brought him home, and I put him in my cage (still brightly colored). I just got back home, and I checked on him. Now he is a shade of grey. I don't know if he is stressed from his new home, or if humidity is not right, or something else. Or maybe I'm just paranoid. I also don't know if he was fed, so he might just be hungry? Please let me know. Thanks

He's probably stressed, and if he's about to shed he will look duller until he does. He's also very close the lights I would lower the vines.

Thanks! Also, I put some superworms and a cricket in there. I first showed him them with some long pliers, and he seemed kinda afraid of the food or pliers. I also misted the area and he drank alot, so we kept misting until he was done. At the moment he is a pale green and is sitting in the basking spot. He has been there for about an hour, and I am kinda worried about him. Is this natural? Do most new chams do this kinda stuff. Also, am I supposed to mist him directly if he is going to shed soon (he looks dry) Thanks!

I personally don't have a Cham at the moment, but I share what I know. I wouldn't use pliers, try cup feeding that's better. He's probably just stressed, and thirsty from being at the repticon. Just give him a week or two to settle in, and lower the vine. Also fill out the ask for help sticky and post a pic of the whole enclosure.

no worries, Blade goes from florescent green to dark green to a dark brown when he is not happy, he gets really crabby when he is about to shed and a few days afterwards, we also put food in his dish, place worms on the leaves of his enclosure and also he likes soldier flies and chasing after the crickets that get loose...
