Winter Stinks

I have looked everywhere for a ficus or a schefflera or hibiscus. Winter sucks! I founda 24" hib for 20.00 I guess im goin to go get a lemon tree. I can use that for a few weeks til the stores get tropicals in. I found a jasmine plant that was cool. I checked it was on the safe list. I think it will prob die indoors though.

I was really lucky..I didn't think I would be able to find a schefflera anywhere in the middle of winter, but I checked out the only nursery I know of here and they were having a sale to get ready for their new season order. I got a nice, big and healthy schefflera for $6!! Good luck on finding something. You might check Home Depot/Lowes or Walmart??

I think people normally advise against using citrus plants with vigorous plant eaters.. since you have not specified what type of chameleon you have, I don't know if that would be good or not.

Ive decided i will prob just get the sm hib & the star of jasmine i found. It will work til i find a couple of large ficus. Its safe I checked and it smells nice.

Sparse here too.....

Pothos and ficus are pretty sparse here too. I'm going this week to the nursery again. If they haven't gotten anything good in I'm going to ask them to order some stuff just for me. They will do it if I will get more than one. I should have done it the last time I went. Our hardware stores locally like Home Depot have the worst plants. I always hear how other people find good plants there. Our local stores get tiny plants or big palm plants.

Well i bought the star of jasmine for now. I heard from a neighbor that lowes just got a shipment of schefflera in. I saw him unpacking his so im heading back up there today.

My lowes has tons of 3 foot plus Ficus trees in stock! Sucks though I have a baby and have had a hell of time finding approriate sized foliage for him. I had to have a local floral shop order a little 4"pot scheffelera for me. Just got a sweet pothos from Walmart and turned it into a totem and my girl loves it.

I live in ohio and in the past week we have accumulated over 24" of snow. However, Lowes and Home Depot have both stocked new inventory of tropical plants, just no Hibiscus for a couple more weeks. I grabbed a nice ficus and several other plants for $9.99 each.

I'm just getting back into the hobby again. I used to have 5-6 large trees for my cages and a couple more to free range on the weekend. I gave all of them away over the yrs. Now i regret it.

Yeah if ur in or near ohio.....go to lowes/ homedepot.....they have an awsome selection. Like a huge amount of cham safe plants.

both

I just got a huge schefflera last thurs and a large corn plant. They were 6.99 @ Lowes! I am going back for 1 more schefflera. Now i just need a 4-5 ft ficus for a free range tree. :D
