Winter is coming...

Hi guys - I'm using a heat mat and uv bulb in my chams enclosure but my flat isn't ideal at trapping heat in winter so I want to be extra cautious. Does anyone have any favourable ideas for extra insulation? I was thinking of sticking bubble wrap around it, thoughts?

Also, he's going through an intermittent eating stage at the moment and I've just moved him from medium on to large crickets but he's not taken to the size increase instantly. What is the best thing to do when he doesn't eat them, do I leave them in there until he does?

I'd look into ways to seal your apartment better. We use the window film here to help with heat escape and sometimes during the cold winter months, I'll nail up heavy blankets over the windows and doorways to help retain heat.
You could wrap three sides of your enclosure to help maintain heat/humidity.

By heat mat do you mean there is rebtile heating pad in the cage? He won't use it and it won't put out enough heat to increase the cage temp.; it is just a waste of electricity. He needs a heat lamp a lot more than bubble wrap on the cage. PS Bubble wrap will trap in moisture but it will more that easily melt if near a light/light fixture and probably won't trap heat. Could you post a pic of your current setup?
