I got this dude about a month ago and now with proper care he’s doing much better, but I believe those are burns on his back? Will that ever go back to normal? Don’t care either way, just curious. Photo of him on my hand is the first day I got him

Hi and welcome. :) I’m afraid his spines won’t grow back and it will remain as scar tissue. From the pics it appears fully healed, which is good. However, his casque shouldn’t be all puffed out like that. Usually that is a sign of obesity, but his limbs don’t match that degree of obesity, so I’m wondering if it’s edema. It also appears he has some sort of bump on his side or am I seeing things? I don’t know where you got him from but poor guy looks like he’s been thru some stuff. We’d be more than happy to make sure you have everything as perfect as possible for him to give him the best life. If you’d like that, just copy/paste the questions from here. https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/how-to-ask-for-help.66/ We love helping others. I’m very glad that you’re here.😊

I agree, burns will only heal so much and these look about as good as there going to. The swelling of the casque is a sign of obesity and not edema. How much and often are you feeding him ? You could cut his meals back to 3 - 5 insects every other day.
