I was REALLY hoping it wouldn't come down to me taking him in, I'm afraid to hear what the vet will have to say. Unfortunately his eyes are not getting better, and seem to only be getting worse. I woke up this morning and both were crusted shut. Strangely enough, they only seem to bother him off and on. If I drop some warm water onto them, 10-minutes later they look fine. I caught him rubbing his eye on a branch today. It looked like he was trying to scratch his eye out completely. It was horrible. He used to not mind being handled, now if I even get close to the cage to LOOK at hime he gets uber pissed. I've never heard him hiss or seen him open his mouth at someone until recently.

I'm calling first thing in the AM and hopefully they can get him in tomorrow afternoon. (The only time I'll have transportation.) I'll let everyone know what I find out as soon as I can.

Thanks... I feel so bad for the little guy. He eats just fine, and don't think he looks dehydrated. So, that's a plus.

Edit- Here you go...

See it's almost as if there is swelling or something IN his lid. Like he is trying to close it, but the inner lid is all that closes. If that makes any sense.

Did you make an appointment for the vet yet? I've got a guy that i've had a problem with the same thing. He is going in for blood work on Thurs. Nothing has seemed to help him. The last time the vet put him on vit a, but no changes, he still is having problems.

Oh no... Yeah he's got an appointment for 3:45 I just HOPE we're able to get there on time. My husband gets off of work at 2:30 but is forced to carpool from a park & ride location to the drilling location (he works on an oil rig) and it takes a while to get from one to the other, then he'll have to fly home for us to hop in the car and go... I let the secretary know that there's a chance we won't make it and she said if not we can try for tomorrow. If not, he may have to take tomorrow off of work so we can get him in!

Even if we're late I want to go anyways, maybe they can SQUEEZE us in! I definately couldn't take him myself with a 2 month old, otherwise I would.

His left eye is still looking pretty bad. I put some warm water on it and it's not as sunken in anymore, but still sunken in quite a bit. He's still eating well though.
