Is it ok if I feed my chams wild caught grasshoppers?(not lubbers) I dont use pesticides or anything but is parasites a worry?

It depends on where you are.
Lots of discussion on this (both ways) available in the archives.

I, personally, advocate for wild feeders.

Keep in mind, unless you have acres and acres of land, your neighbors may use pesticides and your hoppers may have gone there...

true and good point. I doubt my neighbors use pesticides because they both like gardening and are all for natural growing etc etc.

Well I currently have about 10 grasshoppers left (Ifed jasper a few) japser destroyed them. He loves them. I also fed jasmine one and she gobbled it up.

It’s a risk but some of us do it, myself included.

Doesn't surprise me. I think most of the nature films I saw as a kid (that got me interested in chams)
depicted them zapping & munching grasshoppers. Num-num (blech!)

Spring just ate a HUGE one! It took about 30 chomps to eat it. Lol. But she did it! When she tagged it, it was so strong that the hopper didnt budge, she ended up pulling herself to the hopper. It was pretty comical.
