Wild Caught having yellow mouths? Panthers, myth or real?

Hi I have heard a few rumors of being able to tell if a panther chameleon is wild-caught or not by it having a yellow mouth vs. a I am guessing a white mouth. And I mean a slight color of yellow in the mouth, not like mouth-rot or any disease, but a slight yellow color due to what I guess is from their natural habitat?

My cb ambilobe has a yellow mouth, and yellow "cheeks".

It's a myth, wildcaught and cb chameleons both have a variety of colors.

All of my panthers have yellowish mouths, and I don't have a single WC one. Some were from WC parents though.

Nope, even CB chameleons can have yellow mouths.

Sometimes WC specimens have more yellow in the cheeks, like WC Nosy Faly, they tend to have more yellow in their cheeks when they are WC. Some CB have yellow cheeks, but most of the time it fades to almost nothing.
