wild bugs?

i was just wondering, come summer, what kind of backyard bugs my cham could eat? this past summer i have seen plenty of rolly polys, centepedes, grasshoppers, what about stink bugs?

Of course, with wc insects you need to be careful of parasites and pesticides. Be as careful as possible to collect insects from areas never treated with pesticides. It is best to breed anything for a generation at least to make sure, but this is a lot of hassle (I don't breed roly polys but do feed occasionally). Personally I will feed no more than 3 wild caught insects per week.

This past summer, while outside, Phineas (panther) ate a couple stink bugs and loved them. He also had a couple praying mantis, spiders, and some other things that he ate before I could see what they were. I haven't really collected anything from outside to feed him, but I figure if he sees something he will know if it's okay to eat. He stayed away from bees and yellow jackets. And that's fine with me, although I know that some chams eat them with no problems.

My girl Peaches loves eating bees. Im always careful when she does, though. I don't want the stinger causing any issues.

Wild caught rollie-pollies once or twice would probably be okay, but because they are heavy metal bioacumulaors and possible parasite carriers, you'd be better off collecting a bunch and breeding your own. Most grasshoppers are fine, but again there is the parasite possibility.
