wife's birthday beardie

Ever since we had to have our beardie Rex put to sleep my wife has wanted another one she's not a big reptile lover but does have a soft spot for beardies and always let's me get whatever reptile i want so i told her i would get her one for her birthday
So i just thought i would show you guys the viv I made
As we live in a small flat we don't really have anymore room for another tank so i converted the cupboard at the bottom of my panthers house which i just used for reptile bits and bobs

I would also love your thoughts on what type of beardie to get

My question is how can you have a beardie under a panther? Beardie like it way hot and even a panther will not be happy with that kind of heat that he can't get away from.

There is a good 2-3inch gap between the two which flows right through front to back so the heat can disperse i will be testing it to make sure it works as it did cross my mind if i find Boy George's viv does get to hot i will have to put the beardie somewhere else and put something in there that does not need the high heat level

Right so i have put a big 250watt heat bulb in the bottom viv and got temp up to 128f which is quite a bit hotter than i would need for a beardie i have two thermostats in the top viv one is 12inchs from the floor and the other is 8inchs from the top right under he's heat bulb and im glad to say the temps in the top viv have not really changed the top has stayed dead on the same and the bottom has gone up 1f so once i put a dimmerstat in the bottom viv with a basking heat of 95-100 it wont affect the top viv at all

Good job. You can also get a muffin fan. They are for computers but they are about 4 or 5 inches square and about 1 inch tall so they are wonderful for me.

I did wonder about something like that if i put it between the two vivs would it kick in if the gap got to hot
