Why are Parson's so rare?

Add on that they are difficult to propagate, have an extremely long incubation period, and that most aren't sold publically, and you have a recipee for a "rare" chameleon.

the incubation of parsonii is very hard....is 20-24 months long and there isn't a sure metod for incubation....
but in europe parsonii aren't more rare,....and the price is better then USA....in europe the cost of jouvanile parsonii from malagasy farm is about 500-700 euro....
sorry for my bad english....

Franklin, also for us Europeans "farmed" parsonii from Madagascar are illegal...

Technically they would be illegal in ANY CITES country. The CITES ban did not specify WC vs F1 so ANY parsonii coming out of Madagascar, captive bred on a farm or not, is actually illegal.
