why are my superworms shrinking?

this has happened all summer

they are in a medium of plain oats with my dry gut load that i use for crickets.
they are hydrated with pieces of fruits and vegetables every few days

they aren't dying but are shrinking bad :S

I think they may be getting ready to pupate. Put them in a different container by themselves and they probably will pupate soon.

That means they are old and getting ready to end that part of life. Or die if you dont pupate them right.
