According to this, Mena, is Malagasy for Red (Malagasy being the language spoken in Madagascar).

Some other possible "red" names: Roja, Kora, Puka and Kula.

I named my red guy Calais (ka-lie) meaning changes color. I tend to go for the unique foreign names that have a special meaning to suit my pet.
I would have to say:
Altan(altaan)- turkish for red dawn
Flannerry- irish for descendent of the red warrior
Reid(read)- english for red head
Rory- irish for red king
Insula(in-sue-la)- native american for red feather
Russo(roo-soe)- italian for red haired
