White stuff on eyes

I'm new to this so im sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong spot but I just got my veiled chameleon almost 2 weeks ago, he looks about 4 months old so not a baby baby but not full grown. he hasn't shed yet and idk if he is right now and thats what it is?? but he has this white stuff on and around his eye, it looks like he might be shedding but i didnt think they shed their actual eye. its not gooey, if anything it looks crusty. I just got him though and he isnt very fond of handling. any help would be great .

Your little buddy is just shedding, it will happen often since he is younger but as he gets older it wont happen as often,
