white spot

Hi Max's mom here.

He just finished shedding but now there is a white spot on his crown that won't go away. Can someone advise me as to what this is and what i should do?

Long misting with a qtip or baby toothbrush will help get any stuck shed bits. My Jax always gets bits stuck around his horns and crests.

It just looks like shed to me. I would just leave it try and fall off by its own and if it does not take a wet qtip and rub it off with that.

If it is just shed why is it getting bigger? I am very concerned although none of his habits have changed, he is still mean, eating well, pooping, free ranging and hissing just to warn us of his space... lol I love him...

only you know what is normal for Max. All I can say is that based on the photos and based on where my cham starts his shed, that is what it looks like to me. If it has any discoloration like brown or grey flesh or oozing, it could be a burn, but honestly, it just looks like shedding skin in the photo. Is it raised or fuzzy? If you gently touch or scrape it with your nail, dpoes anything happen?
