white nostrils

My 4-5 month female veiled sometimes has white stuff around her nostrils... I've heard that can be caused by too much calcium on her crickets so I cut down from putting calcium on them every other day to once a week but she still has the white around her nostrils. Am I still giving her too much or maybe the wrong brand? I give her reptocal by tetrafauna. Or is this maybe something else, a bigger issue?

Don't cut back on the calcium. I recently learned from the experts on this forum that the white crust is in fact excess salts and is harmless to them. Continue to give calcium at every feeding and make sure she has plenty of water, vie misting and dripping.

Yeah, it's excess salt; just as humans excrete salt through sweating, Veileds do it through their nostrils.
