White koala...not albino..

I wanted soooo much to hold a koala I gave lots of money to the San Diego Zoo, they still said no. They let he hold a lot of cute animals but because of the claws koalas are an insurance risk. Now I want to go down under to see & hopefully get to hold one. It doesn't even have to be a super neat rare one, just a regular one will make me very happy.

Sydney Taronga Zoo has Koalas that you can pat and have your photo taken with them but they charge you extra money. There is another place in sydney called featherdale wildlife park that has only australian animals. You can feed Kangaroos and pat Koalas all day long. I took my kids there in September and they loved it. I have many pictures of my daughter doing these things as well as patting a kookaburra. I should find them on my hard drive and post a few.

Well if you do go to Australia let me know as we have one that lives in my parents backyard....right above the clothes line. Used to be a bugger to get koala poop of our drying laundry until we had to move it. You would have to do a short climb up the tree though
There are many places in Oz that let you do that, Australia Zoo in Queensland rocks and its a great place for tourism (Great Barrier Reef etc) and Sydney Taronga Zoo is great as well.

Such a sweet little koala! I remember our trip to Austrailia and the once in a life time encounter I had with getting to hold one! That is one memory I will never forget.

is he leucistic? i know she said it was a recessive gene, but it could be some strange form of leucism
