White dust by my chams nose

Hey guys...I've got a few questions about my Cham...I fed him 6-8 crickets this morning dusted with a little bit of reptivite with d3. Now it's been about 6 hours since and he's sitting in his basking spot. I walked past once and his mouth was open, sort of looked like he yawned (do chameleons yawn??)..walked away for a bit, came back and he mouth was open again. I walked up and he shut it but then I noticed some white dust like stuff by both of his nostrils...wondering if he's okay...oh I also fed him a very small horn worm and silk worm last night...posting a pic of his nose

The white stuff on his head is from shedding. It's been there since I got him on Sept 3rd

The stuff near the nose looks like shedding too since it is actually raised. How often are you misting? The shed should be gone by now.

I'm misting at 8am, noon, 4pm and 6:30pm for 1 minute at a time...there was a lot more on his head when I got him and some of it has fallen off just not all of it. The stuff by his nose isn't shedding because I took him out and gently wiped it and he came right off. It was sort of crystallized

So when I got mine he had a little bit of skin stuck right on the top of his head lot like that white stuff coming from his nostrils would be Salt they excrete excess Salt from their nostrils perfectly normal

You should probably be misting for 2 minutes at a time at least.

If it happens not to be shed the other thing could be salt. They release it through the nose.
