White Color on Skin?

My chameleon has had a white-ish color to his skin for the last week, I thought maybe he was getting ready to shed but now it almost looks like dry skin.

The only time I notice it is when he puffs up, basically he puffs out his neck/body when he's basking and I can see the whiteish specks on his skin.

I am trying to get pictures as we speak, but he's being camera shy.

Without pictures, does it sound even remotely similar to anything?

I guess I was just impatient, he shed today over the course of just a few hours, do they normally shed this fast? Last time he shed it was about 2 days.

sorry i didnt see your post. yes personally when they shed completely and fast. in my eyes its a good sign of good nutrition and humidity.

i recently had a female getting ready to shed. i noticed it and started to mist her and the plants and then my mister broke in the middle of misting. so i left to buy another. by the time i came back......she was done. i wasnt gone for more than 20 minutes.
