Which worms are best for a panther chameleon?

I have a 4-5 month old male panther ambilobe chameleon who right now I am feeding gutloaded and dusted crickets and occasionally silkworms. I would like to introduce some other type of worms to him to give him more of a healthy variety at times. What type or types would be best and how many and how often should I feed them?:)

What's best depends on the Chams tastes. You have Hornworms, Phoenix Worms, Butter Worms, Wax Worms to name a few. I've heard Phoenix are high in calcium...I haven't bought them yet but plan on it.

Could anyone tell me about how many silk worms and how often I should feed them to him? Right now I feed him a couple every other day and he definitely loves them. Also any other type of worm how often and how many? I would just like to give him a wide variety if possible.

You may get a few different replies and opinions on this but you'll want a staple, everyday feeder which most people will say is crickets, some will have a different staple. I feed my guy crickets everyday and will rotate a few alternative feeders a couple of days a week. I have used blue bottle flies, silkworms and hornworms on those days (along with a few crickets too). When it's Silkworms I usually feed him 3-4, flies is about 10 and he's still picky on the hornworms so one or two. It's key to make sure the feeders are gut loaded with good nutritious food that they will then pass on to the Cham.
