Which worm would you add as a staple?

Hi All,

I feed melo man about 5 crickets a day and about two superworms a week.

Id like to add a new worm to his diet, but i would need to order them online. What is the most nutritious worm that i can add to his daily/every other day diet along with crickets? Ive heard so many different theories and would love some peoples experiences and feedback on what is the healthiest.

Again, hes about 3 and 1/2 months- 4months old. I hate feeding him supers, but ive learned to gutload the supers by replacing 80% of the oats in the container and filling back up with cricket crack. They devour it.

Horns/silks/butters? Id like to buy a bunch online!

Thanks for your feedback!

Silkworms.

Many people use them as a staple feeder, and your cham will love them.

I use coastal silkworms or smallpetfeeders to get mine.

Horns are great for hydration and treats, but not much nutrition to them,

id avoid butters as some members are seeing weird allergic reactions in their chams.

Try to stay away from a staple and not use any on feeder as more than 20-30% of the chameleons diet. Using at least 5 feeders is great for variety and to prevent boredom/hunger strikes. Silkworms would be great to add as a more regular feeder though. As far as worms go, hornworms, reptiworms, and buterworms are also good. Mealworms and waxworms can be used as treats.
