Which feeders?

I will be gone for almost a week around Christmas time, I have someone coming to check on my cham but I am wondering which feeders should I use for him. I would need something that will live for a longer time and not too gross (bc the person that will be taking care of him dose not like the roaches). Any suggestions?

I highly suggest black solder fly larvae (or flies if you have them)! They don't require calcium dusting, and a minimal gut-load. Just put the daily (or whatever your feeding schedule is) in a disposable dip container, and tell the keeper to put them in the feeder container.

If he doesn't like them as grubs, put the container in a warm area and they'll hatch into flies after a few weeks.... No cham can resist a fly! That I've seen anyway. lol

Of course, my favorite is silkworms. Who can be afraid of the soft gentle white caterpillars that move slowly? 😊 They can be a bit difficult to keep alive, so for back up maybe have some superworms. While they are very fatty and just for treats, they do last a long time and are not terribly offensive bugs. Of course, there’s always crickets too. Whatever/however you do, I would make sure to have a few options available and as backup.
