Which do you prefer? Aggressive or Calm chams?

Trying to figure out which people prefer here. I have a veiled that is way too aggressive and I kinda don't like it. Sancho is calm as can be and witchy is totally aggressive in the worst way! I'm talking about hissing and trying to bite me to back me up so she can climb out of her cage. So which would you rather have?

I've only ever had Lily who happens to be the sweetest nicest cham ever, so I will say calm cham for me!! She is so chilled out and friendly - a joy to own! That was the main reason that I got her rather than a baby one. I think I'd be very nervous around her if she ever bit me.

I know what you mean. Sancho only gets pissy if I take him out of his cage to go outside which is his find but once I place him outside for awhile and try to bring him back in is when the fight starts. With witchy I can't even get near her cage or she is already attacking! Unless I have food

If that is the only criteria, then most definitely Calm. It would make cleaning cages easier and moving out for some sun a lot less painful (for me).

Now if I was in that underground chameleon fight club, it would be a different story....:D

The calm chams are for me, in fact what I'm trying to do is see if the 'calm' nature can be passed on through the generations. Both of my chameleons are "calm" so if they can produce 'calm' offspring then it'd be awsome:D

In my experience, the agressive panthers are almost always better breeders... The "gay" ones that don't want to breed are almost always very calm. Something to be said for that.

If you want a calm, friendly pet, choosing a chameleon is likely a bad decision!

I have both the tolerant "friendly" and the aggressive "normal" ones. I dont have a preference.

I have the best of both worlds. I have a female vield that would love to see me burn at the stake, and a male panther that could care less what I do to him or where I take him. He is almost 7 months old and I have yet to see him get fired up in the slightest, I'm kinda disapointed. He shows wonderful color yet not to his full potential.:(

Mine is aggressive in the cage, and a lover outside of the cage.

I prefer calm over aggressive because the meaner ones are harder to take care of in terms of cleaning etc. LOL

LOL we are in the same boat except Sancho fires up every once in a while.

I like aggressive in the cage but calm outside....and getting bitten is nothing....I have 3 Amazon Tree Boas that are chain saws......

agressive for sure... the more they hate humans the better ... it´s better to build a hideout than own chams without "any" behavior...

I enjoy Thaxter being a calm, friendly chameleon, but he certainly wouldn't get any less food or care if he were mean. His predecessor, Saccardo the Jackson's, was not particularly aggressive, but certainly was not friendly - he'd go his way and you'd go yours. An aggressive chameleon would not put me off chams, but if fate give me a nice one, I'm not complaining...

Seeing this is my first cham, I would like to experience the calm version. My male is approx 4 mo old and he puffs up and hisses at me before I can get the door open. I purchased him a breeder that stated he was bred from a docile male. Hate to see the attitude of the non-docile offspring!! I've housed aggresive Monitors in the past, so I'm not too intimidated!!
