Where to find aquarium-safe silicone?

Been trying to find a good but inexpensive source of aquarium-safe silicone with no luck. Most people want an outrageous price paid to ship, or it's not non-toxic.

Anyone have a couple links I can check out? Suggestions?

Are there any other names for aquarium safe silicone?

Did u check out home depo or lows if I remember right alot of kitchen silicone is non toxic like the kind ud use to for counters most cooking stuff is made out of silicone so it shouldnt be hard to find

I was hoping for an online store that had more reasonable prices, kind of like an LLL for the aquarium-safe silicone world.. LOL!

But yeah, we were going to check there again this weekend or next week, last time we went they had no idea if they had any or not (Home Depot). As for Lowes.. I forgot where our local Lowes is hahaha. Time for Google Maps.

A fish store? I know there are non toxic silicones at HD or Lowes, but if you want the super fish safe stuff you might have to pay for that expensive shipping.

This will actually be used for a gecko project, but maybe for a future chameleon project as well.
I highly doubt they will be eating the silicone, but would a super-safe silicone be necessary?
Are fumes involved?

Argh, I'm so curious. :)

Try an aquatics shop. When I bought some to seal Tommy's cage I went to a local aquatics shop. The man had himself bred chameleons in the past and he was very helpful! In fact we had a good chat about breeding veileds rather than fish, lol!

Thanks guys. I'll check out the local hardware stores, and see if there are any local fish places. When I was looking around the last time, the most local one was about 20 miles away. :(

Can anyone suggest a brand name?

I'll take a look at that link, DJ.

Ah, thanks a ton for saving me a trip, Sandra. I'll be making calls after the holidays next week then, it seems!

Too bad it's only 3oz. I think I've seen 10oz. for $10 shipped. Looks like I will have to order online after all.
