Where is the best place to get hornworms

If you don't want to get them online then next option would be local pet shops. The pet shops ive gone to charge more for hornworms then online shops. I feel like the extra charge compares to shipping fees. I usually add a couple other bugs when I order hornworms to make it worth the shipping fees. My go to is dubiaroaches.com

I don’t think I ever found a good value in brick and mortar shops.
Sadly I found better value found online. And I always stuck with Dubai.com for my feeder bug orders. Including hornworms.

Hornworms grow extremely quick. It's the only thing I buy from the chain pet store. If you only have 1 cham, I would buy the 4 pack from the pet store. After 2 weeks the hornworms might be too big for your Cham or they will have eaten all of their food and die from starvation. If you order online, make sure to buy extra food. Hornworns and silkworms are non-stop eaters!

WARNING - Breeding hornworms can be detrimental to your health!
1. The cocoon moves
2. Hawk Moths are large and ugly
3. They spew a nasty liquid
4. If you abandon your breeding project, you will likely try to release the Hawk Moth in the wild. Well he likes the home you've given, he will refuse to fly away.
5. You will then retrieve a stick, hit the cage and run for cover simultaneously, to encourage the Hawk Moth to leave. Guess what - he's still there. Now you are stuck with a Hawk Moth the size of a silver dollar.

Sorry for the rant. A memory was triggered.

This is hilarious! 😂 I’ve had hawkmoths escape their enclosure and flying free thru my home until I could catch it. 😧 I do always kind of shudder a bit too when the conical end of the pupa moves.
