where do you place crickets?

Okay so I have a chameleon around 8 months old.

Once I left five crickets inside the cage, but she didn't eat a single.
I got a bit worried. Then I placed one cricket in front of her, and she just ate it.

Do I have to place crickets in front of her every time I feed her? Or should I let her hunt crickets?

Usually babies are smaller so they have a harder time searching environment for food.

Try getting a bird feeding cup, or just a little tupperware, or even a dixie cup, and attach it with wire to the sticks in her cage.

You count the food, put it in the cup, and when you come back, she either ate the food or some jumped out. You count how much she ate.
