When to remove silk eggs for fridge?

Well two of my silkies hatched over the weekend and I noticed little green eggs inside the container my question is they could of been there since sunday is it too late?

Also should I feed off the female? or will see mate again?

I believe its to late to fridge them, just hatch them out. It they are grey, they are fertile. The females are one time use, feed em off.

They may yet darken.

I've not refidgerated silkeggs recently laid and they've hatched fine - so the fridge is only necessary if you want to delay hatching

It's been about 5 days since she laid the eggs some have turned brown and some are still the "lime" green color

Are these eggs that you had moths lay for you? The green ones are probably infertile. I am not an expert with silks, however I know that they darken to a purplish/grey color when they are fertile.

Good Luck,

Todd

Yes the moth laid the eggs. there is roughly 20-30 eggs. half which are brown/dark color.

They are usually dark grey if they are fertile, and just before hatching they will turn blueish. I guess if your not sure post a picture of them and well see what ya got.:)

None are either of those. I'm going to be cleaning tonight so I'll post some pictures up.
