When to get a bigger enclosure?

My vieled chameleon is 1 and a half month old and he's currently in a 12x12x18 terrarium. He's quite small right now but at about what age should I buy a bigger enclosure? And how big should it be for him to live comfortably in when he's full grown ?

Ooops..sorry, missed the veiled part. :)
I found this under the the care resources link...

In general when housing chameleons, bigger is better. Veiled chameleons are highly territorial and easily stressed by the presence of other chameleons, even of their own species. Two or more veiled chameleons should never be kept in the same cage. Cages should be furnished with many plants and climbing branches to provide opportunities for exercise and plenty of places for hiding. Substrate (mulch, soil, etc.) should not be used in chameleon cages. See Chameleon Enclosures for more information.

screen cage (length x width x height):

juveniles/sub-adults
: 16x16x30" (40x40x76cm)
adult female minimum: 18x18x36" (45x45x90cm)
adult male minimum: 24x24x48" (60x60x120cm)

For an adult veiled I would use 24x24x48 cage. I personally put young chameleons in that size cage early. My female was in a full-sized cage at 3 months old. I cup feed so that the young ones don't have to hunt food down in a big cage and make sure there are plenty of plants and vines. The way I look at it is in the wild they would live in a tree from birth so obviously they can handle the space. I would definitely start looking to upgrade at 4 months. Post pics of your little guy- I love veiled babies! :)

Great thanks, how long do you think he will be comfortable in his current terrarium though? I just got him a couple weeks ago and if hate to go out and buy a new one right away >_<

You'll know. Veild chams grow fast, all of a sudden he'll look like a gorilla in a Mini Cooper. The bigger the cage, the better his muscle tone will be, he'll have more room to cruise around...
