When should I begin to dust my veiled female chameleons food?

Ive had my girl for about 9 months now, i got her when she was little so she might be a year old now, she's grown but is still overall small. I was wondering when should I begin to dust her food with vitamin supplements?

Also, if i were to give her a bath, should I use warm or cold water and how would I do it from the sink? and should I use bottled or tap water?

And for her to be young still should I buy any skin moisterizers from reptile stores to help her skin when shedding or should I wait until shes older.

She is healthy and doing great, I was just curious about these things.
Thanks -Erin

Hello!

You should have been dusting her insects with plain calcium every feeding! Calcium with d3 twice a month and multivitamin twice a month.

Also, you don't bath a chameleon, you spray it with a mister a good few times a day. that's how they drink.

You don't need to use any skin products at all unless they have a skin condition and are recommended to do so by a vet.

Also, since you have a female have you done any research on egg laying and laying bins?

She is probably still small because she needed vitamin and calcium supplements from birth. Whether she'll catch up in her growth now we can't say. What have you been feeding your insects? Gutloading them properly is even more important than dusting.

Don't use any pet store "skin moisturizers"...pretty much a waste of money. If her cage humidity is correct she shouldn't have much if any trouble shedding.

It sounds as if you should check your husbandry for other things as well. There are some excellent "sticky" messages on this forum that describe basic care.
