My Panther cham is about 5 months old and he is about 5" long body in a small cage 14x14x24". I already have a bigger 24x24x48 cage and wondering when I should move him. I'm afraid that he might not get his food and water frequently in a bigger cage.

you could move into a bigger cage now. I am sure he would love it! I have had my cham in an adult cage from 5 months also although mine is 30 X 36 X 18. Just be sure and drip the water on a branch or leaf that he can get to to drink and also you can put your food in a cup so you will be sure he will see it. I always let my cham hunt down the crickets and he found them just fine at 5 months.

just what Carol said. I would also check LLLreptiles for great prices on ficus and vines if u need them.

i agree wth carol... HI CAROL...my 4mnth old male panther was put straight into a huge custom enclosure... his cage is about 24x24x4... he hunts his crickets and hand feeds his super worms.. mist regulary.. and a dripper is always a extra help.. mist king makes a nice mister.. that runs out of a clean bucket.. i love mine.. hope this helps

i have my 2 month old in a 18x18x36, so im sure a 5 month old will be just fine in a 2x2x4. Is he cup feeding "trained"?

If you move him over and he starts to not do well after a week put him back in his old one till hes a bit bigger

Thanks for all the replies. He was cup fed ever since i got him but he loves to hunt for the prey. Also he is not shy around me and will drink water with his mouth open from a spray bottle. I'm waiting for my Mistking to come in and I will move him to the bigger cage soon. Thanks guy!
