I walked in with her looking exactly like that. the camera maybe scared her too but she looked exactly like that when I walked in and she still looks like that now. I'm worried

Check ur temperature when u did mention "she is been basking".....
When the chameleons bask under the heat lamp, they tend to change their color, also look around in the room ,just to see if anything unusuall,my guess is she shall be back in her green unless u did find something spooky her somewhere in that room .

Do you have a laying bin set up in her tank? If they're over 5 months old they lay infertile eggs every few months and if they can't lay they become egg bound and die.
how do I make a laying bin? will Eco earth at the bottom of the cage work as a laying bin? does she look like she has eggs?

Mine is around the same age, hasn't show Gravid signs yet though. Beautiful Cham!
Lot of single female .....but no male around to encourage being "gravid"......jus:p
Yes the veiled female are very attractive n they all need to be pampered with a cute laying bin, even with no veiled male around, their belly will get bigger day by day when the time comes

You will need to put washed play sand and/or dirt without fertilizers. It needs to be as deep as possible, try between 6-10 inches deep. Not sure if she's gravid, but better safe than sorry! Some other people may be able to tell you more information about this, as I am relatively new to chameleons myself.

Yes I would still set up a bin though to be prepared for when she is!
