I'm doubting which plant you have now but it could also be creeping Charlie which is toxic. The difference is Swedish ivy has a larger leaf about the size of a quarter. The creeping chalie leaf is only an inch. If I were you I would just go buy a Swedish ivy to be sure.
Way off topic, but I just noticed you're from Yuba City. I used to go camping all the time at Middle Fork of the Yuba River when I was a kid. I don't know if you know it, but we'd stay at Oregon Creek campground.
