Hello!
I would like to ask you what would be better to buy?
Iguana or veiled chameleon? what is easier to keep?
please fast responde because i want to gather information and stuff...
THANK YOU!

Veiled chameleon.
I would not recommend keeping an iguana unless you can dedicate an entire room for it's enclosure.

phony vet...sounds like you got ripped...fill out the "how to ask for help' sheet...not to be mean just to make shure your spot on like you very well may be.

Do research :)

I've got two full grown adult iguanas that I've had for six years. I've got many chams too. The iguanas are a large investment on many levels. I've got them in some very expensive large caging. They are super strong and can rip things apart. They can live for a long time. If you change your mind about owning one it is very hard to find a new home. A lot of them have been abandoned. You can end up with a very mean and unfriendly animal. I'm fortunate. Mine are pretty nice and like to be petted. Many turn into monsters that can whip their tail and cause welts or eye damage to the recipient of the tail whipping. They can bite like you can't believe. Get a chameleon or a Crested Gecko.

I don't believe the virus story your vet gave you. It may have had some sort of infection but it was most likely bacterial in nature. Not viral. Or it had parasites. If you want to get another one give us some information and pictures of your caging, etc. If you get a new one you have to completely disinfect the old caging and plants. Throwing the plants out and getting new ones would probably be best. It could have had a parasite issue and left parasite eggs behind. We can help you have a much happier experience with your next one.

Great Advice right above! and I'll be honest that little $39 dollar Iguana GROWS into one huge Reptile! I got one for Christmas 15 years ago and the thing still Lives well here (an absolute Giant). But as ParadalisGirl, Stated getting a tame one like we have is very unusual, So if you dont want a vegi eating KOMOTO Dragon living at your house GO FOR A CHAM! :):)

iguanas are so mean, and they can run like the wind if they feel the need. chameleons are nice and slow, and cant do as much damage. unless you have a spare room, or intend in free ranging your iguana. deff go chameleon. water dragons are also something to look at the dont get too big, and all the ones i have ever messed with are very nice =)

ahh i remember my first 2' iguana...and the 8" bruise across my face from his tail...

chameleon, but please do some additional research prior to buying , a bit more then "quick what should i buy"

both animals require different amounts of dedication and are both specialty animals.

Hmm, Ok Dolcility-:) Wow I could not imagine Free Ranging an Iguana, Especially as big as mine, That thing would tear your house apart, Just imagine SHREDDED! Mine is in a very Impressive but nice looking CAGE! And I have to admit I use cat litter as you would a Cat. and the thing craps, and buryies its stuff (Thank God!) You cant even smell an Iguana lives in there. Quite impressive since I am a clean home neat freak. I water it Via its food and mist the food item before feeding. and the thing Called Zues lives on!
Ok I admit, I must have the nicest Iguana ever, or I would not have it today!

If you handle them, get them used to you, etc. they can be fun, loving, fat creatures. :D

I dont have one myself, but from others who do have Bearded dragons my understanding is that this is a really good reptile to own. They are kewl to look at, dont get too big, can be quite tame (with correct handling) and comfortable with /tolerant of humans, inquisitive, dont typically bite, omnivorous (eating both insects and plants), almost always captive bred, and relatively easy to care for as reptiles go.
