What temperature on the incubator do I trust...

I am using a reptibator I got off another user on here who is opening a store with her husband.

For now, I am only breeding bearded dragons.

Room temperature right now (in Canada, in a basement) is 70°F at night (I wish it was at least 80 for me personally but thats not gonna happen...

Anyways, on the incubator it says 84°F and humidity stays between 75-80 for now

on the other side of the coin I'm using an exo-terra digital thermometer and its saying 79°F. That's a pretty big difference when incubating eggs.

I have placed the temperature probe in various locations in the incubator and its either 79.6 or 79.9/80.0°F.

Which one would you trust.

Would you trust the humidity sensor on the reptibator or should I use a different one for that as well.

Note: I was using the exo-terra incubator until it decided to crap out on me so I got this as an emergency as I was tight on funds last week (all good now)

All of my chameleon eggs are at room temp all the time. Probably 72f on average, a little warmer in the summer.

hey i live in England and i have seen some of the incubators for DIY as the incubators over here are really expensive and i know a few breeders that use their own because they trust the heating and humidity in them more ect......anyway i was wondering on what wattage my heated reptile mat should be for yemen chameleon baby's, i have everything else set up and im not going to be breeding my female for about 9 months (until i think she is big enough) as my male is about 15 inches long and is quite heavy!?
the box im using is a polistyrine (dont know how you spell it) and is air water tight but im going to puncture it on the lid and its about 60cm long 30cm high and 30cm deep the box is 2inched thick and its not exactly 'warm' over here! thanks
