What size heating lamps/uv lamps would you suggest for a cage that is 16inL,16inW, and 29 3/4 height ?

An 18inch uv should be good and as far as a basking lamp you would probably want a smaller one w/ a lower wattage bulb since the enclosure is on the smaller side.

kk so an 18 inch uv i can use any lamp for the uv correct cause the one i have now has both sides one for uv and other is for heat but the cage i have for her is smaller then the new one shes going to be going into

smallest i could get over here by me was 20'' is that going to be a problem like for instance could it possibly melt the plastic part on the edges of the cage o_O

No worries, flourescent does not put out the temps it would take to melt it. What uv bulb will you be using with the 20" fixture?

that was my next question the only one they had at the pet store was 10.0 but i read that it could be harmful to them is this 100% correct ?

It's best to get a 5.0, the 10s are for desert animals like my monitor. They have been known to hurt a chams eyes..........

I'm not sure if the 10 is okay or not. I think a may have read a thread where a few people use them, try a search to see if anything comes up. I myself use a 18" 5.0 reptisun.

For 10.0s keep them further away, or through some foliage. They can work....... 5.0 is just standard, therefore the only one I recommend :)

k so i figured it out i looked up it and it said the 5.0 should be used for chams from being a baby until 8 months then anything from 8 months up a 10.0 should be used
