What size fixture/uvb bulb for 2x2x4?

I am upgrading from a compact reptisun 5.0 to a linear bulb since I recently got a bigger cage. My new cage is 2x2x4 so I was looking at the 24" fixture on LLL reptiles website... Is this the type of fixture that I need? It says it fits an 18" bulb. Is this going to be a significant upgrade in lighting for my chameleon, and is this the type of fixture/bulb I need for a 2x2x4?

Thanks! This is what I'm going to get then. Did you get yours from LLL reptiles? Does it take an 18" bulb?

18" would be fine, just will be that bit brighter inside with the 24"

yea but will it fit in the 24" fixture? and does it matter if i get one longer than 24" that will hang over the sides? what is a good brand and style for a 2x2x4

I bought a Zoo Med 24" combination hood on sale from the Petsmart website for only $69.99 and it holds one 24" florescent 5.0 UVB and two incandescent bulbs (I only use one though) and each light has its own switch with one cord for the whole thing. There are some cheaper fixtures out there but I like having all of the lights in one neat fixture instead of having separate fixtures for the heat and UVB that can look kinda cluttered on top of the cage. Unfortunately they only come in white but a $4 can of satin black spray paint made it match my setup really well. Good luck with your choice and let us know which one you go with.

I got the Zoo Med Reptisun Terrarium Hood: : 20" Fixture which fits the Zoo Med ReptiSun 5.0 UVB Bulb: : 18" Bulb - 15 Watt T8. Fits my 2x2x4 Cage perfectly.

I use a 30 inch hood which houses a 24 inch bulb. It fits nice diagonally.
