what should i use to gutload my crickets

Haha!... The list would go on forever.

Collard greens, mustard greens, dandelion greens, kale, turnips/turnip greens, romaine lettuce, sweet potatoes (yams), carrots, butternut squash, alfalfa, beets, bee pollen, rolled oats, wheat germ/wheat bran, oat bran, oranges, apples, bananas, peaches, and pre-made gutloads are just the beginning of what you can gutload with.

Do you need to use organically grown fruits and vegetables to avoid residual pesticides?

Not necessarily. Cut off the peels and skins of fruits and vegetables since those trap those residues and wash produce well and you should be fine.

It is highly recommended. I chose to because: (1) I normally eat natural foods (2) I don't risk feeding foods that may have been grown with things that they don't need to be grown with.
