what should i do?

Ive been debating on this for a whyle now. at first i was wanting to get a pair of carpets but then i was thinking about getting a pair of panthers. i will have to make my own cages unless i find some for cheap. which ones should i do? please help!!

Why do you want a pair? Is your goal to breed them?

Both species are great, and I have a pair of each. It depends what you like in a chameleon. Obviously, the panthers are much bigger so they will need bigger cages. But both carpets will be pretty colorful, not just your male panther (female panthers can have colors, but they're pretty subtle). Also, the carpets tend to live shorter lives, so that may be a factor.

I would say just get one for now that way you can afford a good living arrangement one thing about chameleons is that they can be a pricey hobby. If your goal is to breed you dont really need to have both of them right away but thats just me. Do your thing much luck.

yes eventually i would want to breed but that will be in a whyle .i would like to have a male before a female because my female veild layed 5 times with at least 20 eggs per clutch and she later died from being eggbound i dont want to get a female until im ready to breed and yes that will be a factor i would not want to get too attached and then it get old and die what i was wandering is what about the eggs how long to hatch on both
