What should I do for a female who I think is pregnant. More vitamins? calcium? She is a female Jackson maybe 5" head to base of the tail

First you need to have a container with sand in the bottom of her cage. Second you need to figure out if she is actually pregnant because you don't want to over supplement her. But if she is pregnant more food, water and supplements will be required

he doesnt need a container with sand.
jacksons are live bearers.

Haha, I was like... why do people keep telling them they need a bin?! Although when I was a kid my teachers always told me to read the instructions before starting a test... :)

One time the instructions said, do not answer any of these questions, sign your name at the bottom and turn it in. You'd be amazed how many little kids would do every single question and then sign it at the top where the line was and turn it in... haha

Hopefully she's not still in with the male. If she is, then she needs to be put in her own enclosure now. You'll need to be ready to care for the babies, so they'll need their own bin. I'm going to recommend you go down to the Breeding Forum and check out every thread on Jackson's.

You need to prepare a laying bin for her

Here is a forum members video on how to do so

She also needs plenty of calcium, and covering her cage with a shower curtain or garbage bag or something gives her privacy, you can cut out a peep ho,e to check on her.

female jackson!!! :D

LOL 3rd times the charm
She is a FEMALE Jackson. She is not housed with the male any more. (as soon as she got to my house they got their own cages)

i dont know if shes eating yet. she might be getting settled into her cage. i put a dubia in the feeder cup so we will see when i get back home if its still there
