Hia,

Is this plant a form of hibiscus?
My knowledge on plants isnt great but I noticed this plant in my parents back garden. I have been looking at getting one but havent been able to find any.
It looks like the pictures I have seen on the internet but thought it was a tropical plant, and I live in South Wales in the UK which is def not a tropical place lol
If it is a hibiscus, can you simply just take cuttings off it and pot them?
Sorry about the quality but it was dark outside so I had to use a spot light.

well i dont know if its safe....i would research it ....but if it has thorns ...obviosly you would NEVER use it

roses don't grow in houses

While un-sprayed roses would be safe for your cham to eat, they don't grow in the house.

Better to find a nice dwarf schefflera.

i dono about you....but if my cham was on a plant with thorns i would be freaking out....thats just me. im a worry wart about anything that may or does go wrong....so any little thing i freak out!

even with your awful picture, I'm sure

even with your awful picture, I'm sure its a rose.

Keep looking for appropriate plants for your cham. There are great resources here on this site, and at Davesgarden.com and others. Best of luck.
