What moves around more? M or F

My female panthers seem in general to be more active than my males. the boys do move around, patrolling some, going to and from the basking area, lookin around. the boys move quickly for their favourite foods, or if they get a glance of another chameleon.
But the girls seems to be near constantly on the move. Only staying still when basking.

Im curious if this is the experience of others, or if something in my husbandry causes the girls to be this active. I get the feeling from other peoples posts that their females are lethargic, inactive, or otherwise sitting in one place alot.

I don't have much of a hypothesis as to why, but I would agree. Based on the species I have kept of both male and female sexes, I would say the females are more active, in general. IME, females will tend towards gluttony moreso than males, as well. Perhaps they're more active since they would have greater metabolic demands (reproduction: egg production, gestation, greater nutrient needs --> need more food) in the wild, as compared to the males, and this manifests as more of a roaming?

My Brevs seem to follow this trend. The female is so much more active to my male.

I have no experience with other species of reptiles, i wonder if it would be the same for say... Beardie or Cresties

I agree with Drewtt, i think it has a link to the egg production. However, i have no scientific proof of that! :)

I have seen the opposite. My Veiled(male) moves around quite a lot. While my Jacksons(female) doesn't move around as much. Although, she has moments of more activity, she is gravid, she is patroling, but today she stayed it the exact spot all day.
