The U bar usually is dominant in a Sambava which is what he looks like to me. Nice cham whatever he is.

Nice colors. As the others said Sambava. It's eyes look kinda sunken in. Could be just cause they were trying to get him fired up for the picture but make sure it's eyes aren't sunken in like that all the time when you buy it though.

I agree Sambava. I don't know if he is a cross or not. Has the coloration of a Sambava from what I can tell.

thanks for your answers boys :) This i not the the cham he has for sale but an older brother. He has: Nosy be, Ambanja, and this he called it picasso, but never heard about that before.
Maybe ill go all in an buy one of each :)

He only has a U-bar on one side. Sambavas also don't typically have blue inside red bars either....

if he has a nosey be ambanja cross an its 50/50 i'd say go for it they make some of the best and coolest colors of blue and purple out there do it!!!

I think it looks like a Sambava. If it's not a Sambava, it could be a red-barred Ambilobe or some cross involving a red-barred Ambilobe... but I think Sambava is a better bet. If you're getting it as a pet, I wouldn't worry about which type it is... all that matters is that you like it and that it's healthy. If you're getting it as part of a breeding project, you might consider buying from a reputable breeder with a history (one of the site sponsors would be a safe bet).

Dont think it´s crosses. He has a nosey be about a year old, and baby Ambanjas, and someone that looks a bit like this one

That is not the same chameleon in both pictures.
First pic: sambavaXambilobe = guess
Second pic need more pics :/

Edit: If they are sending these two pictures representing one chameleon. Even if you like the way either looks. I would not buy from them what so ever.

I agree with this as well... I almost said that in my post but decided to leave it alone... in the second pic the stripe pattern looks different and the "U" is absent.

Just saw some photos of an Ambilobe that looked identical, even had the u shaped bar. At least the captions said Ambilobe........ Heck!!! Who knows anymore!

I believe Picasso is a "designer" name for a cross, often with ambibole present
the u bar in the first photo does suggest sambava

I agree. Who cares so long as you get a healthy animal you enjoy the look of.
