Looks like Ficus religiosa, or something similar. It's safe.

yes its safe but its a bonzai so it wont get that large maybe 12 inches and it will take along time

Bonsai is not a species, it is a form of growing a plant. If allowed to grow freely it will grow just like any other ficus.

he will have to re pot it though, as that one is probably full of roots already.

yea it is pretty old, but the cage i have right now is only 15 inches tall so it's good for now...thanks! im hoping to purchase an 18x18x36 in the near future..i called diy today and they are out...figures. does anyone know anywhere else i can pick up a cage for cheap (diy's is 63 shipped). i will post pics of the chams new setup to this thread shortly

Edit- If you are getting that cage for a veiled, male or female, I would go bigger. Esp if you have a female, since you will have to put a laying bin in there. If a male, well they need alot mroe space, like the 24x24x48.

For petco, its going to list it as 87, but when you add it to the cart, it discounts it to 75.
females can lay eggs as early as 6 months old.
many people jsut leave the bin in with her 24/7, so they dont miss the signs of her needing to lay.

No problem. make SURE you read that laying blog. if your female ahs to lay, and has no where to do, she can become egg bound and die. Just an fyi.

im def going to read it because i came in to shut her lights off the other night and she was on the floor scratching the glass..ive heard these actions can be associated her trying to lay eggs...and i certainly dont want her to get bound up..that just sounds aweful lol

Good. Glad you are taking th etime to do the research. yes being on the floor can be a sign of egg laying.
Once you get pics of her, try to get a good full body profile picture, that way, we can see if she has eggs.
ALso what are her temps at right now?
and how much do you feed her?
lower temps and a lower amount of feeders has been known to reduce the size of clutches and even prevent eggs from being produced.
If she is over 5 months, and you THINK she COULD need to lay eggs, get a laying bin asap.
The deeper the better.
get play sand from walmart, get it wet enough that it holds its shape when you squeeze it, but not so wet its a soupy mess.
this way, she can tunnel thru it wihtout having the tunnel collapse on her.
