Not mine, but I can't quite identify it...owner is claiming veiled. Obviously not a veiled.

looks like a hoehnelli? sorry can't spell

so i'll just say it looks like a hoe:D

but im no expert. very healthy looking btw:)

Im sying its a hoehnelli.. although its nose isnt turned up as much as my Kermits, I think its a female.

The casque looks exactly like Kermits. If you awnt you can compare that one to Kermit,
find my thread title as requested, updates on the kids.

as a side note, if she doesnt want to keep her. Ill be more than happy to take her off their hands. lol. Im looking for a girlfriend for Kermit. ;)

Okay, that's what I was thinking too, and that seems to be the consensus.

Haha, I don't even know the person. Just trying to offer some advice on a veterinary forum. What are the recommended temperature ranges for Hoes while we're at it?

Darn lol ok.
I keep Kermit at roughly 80-82 degrees then down to abour 70 at the bottom of the cage and he doest really well. At night his temps drop down to roughly 60.
It took some playing with the temps though because they are difernt than veileds. He wasnt happy at 84 and went to the bottom, but now hes doing well at roughly 82, though I think I need to lower the temp to 80 again.

He also can drink for like 20 minutes straight when I shower him, Even though he gets misted 5 times a day.

I supplement him with repashy every other feeding. since they dont need as much as veields.

Do you have any other pictures of it? From that angle, due to the slightly smaller rostal process, it may be a Trioceros sternfeldi, or what people call Rudis Chameleons (Although that is not a Rudis ;))

Get a side picture for a 100% certainty to it's ID

It has a bit of edema. Try to figure out what it was dusted with, how many times, insects fed, how much hydration etc. More than likely cut back on the supplements a little and good water and it should go away.

Personally I think it looks almost exactly like my Kermit, who is a hoe.

At first glance, I'd agree, but the rostal process is not what I've seen in hoehneli, nor is the casque the normal size for a hoe that big. It also seems as if the casque is more pointed as well, instead of rounded.

Well isnt the rostral less pronounced in female hoes? I think the casque looks exactly llike my boys... cept bigger, cuz this one is significantly older.
