Hello all! Around a week or so ago this black mark appeared at the top of my little mans casque. I have been cleaning it daily and applying some F10 cream. He started shedding two days ago and i thought maybe it would go with it, but under the shed skin was even darker black. Is this a burn? (Please ignore the two scabs on either side of his head, these were from a previous bad shed and have now gone after shedding this week)

It does look as if it is a burn. Is his basking light in a place where he could burn himself?

Kinda, but if he was to burn himself it would only be the underside of him from where he had climbed up to the top of his viv and along the topside mesh part. Not his head, he cant get high enough or close enough should I say

With the lack of anyone replying I would continue with what you are doing. If you are worried or if it spreads I would visit the vet. Keep an eye on chams colour and behaviour, if any change see your vet. Chams do not feel heat and back off if too hot. Also they hide illness so it's important to be observant?
