What Is This?

My Schefflera plant has grown about a foot in height the 2 months i had it in my 8 month veiled enclosure....still learning plants tho. Is the plant trying to grow another branch?and if so am I suppose to help it in some way? Thanks Everyone

That does not look like any Schefflera I have ever seen I always thought the leaves grow in groups of 5-9 never singlely.

Yes that is a new leaf forming, also that plant is not considered safe for chameleons @Dday. If you'll post a full picture of the plant I'd be happy to identify it to be 100% certain

Yep, as I thought that's one of the unsafe species of Schefflera. They have toxic calcium oxalate crystals that can be leathal.

Generally it isn't suggested to use these for veileds because they're known to consume plants often. I do know people that use them for larger species because they provide some good sized branches.

If its not sage I would get rid of it. My veiled likes to nibble on plants.
